1. Data Minimization & Storage

100% Private: CouplesBingo is designed with privacy as a core principle. All your activities, preferences, and game history are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.

Cloud Sync: When you use multiple devices, your data syncs exclusively via your private iCloud (CloudKit) container. We (the developers) do not have access to your data, and we do not operate any external servers to store your personal information.

2. Permissions

We only request permissions that are strictly necessary for the app's features:

Local Network

"CouplesBingo uses your local network to connect with your partner for multiplayer games."
Used solely to discover and connect with your partner's device over Wi-Fi for peer-to-peer gameplay. No data leaves your local network during this process.

Face ID

"CouplesBingo uses Face ID to securely lock your private activities and settings."
Used optionally to protect your sensitive game data. Biometric data is processed entirely by the iOS system and is never accessed by the app.

Calendars

"CouplesBingo uses your calendar only when you choose to plan an activity..."
Used only when you explicitly tap to "Schedule" a date idea. We do not read your other calendar events.

3. Multiplayer & Data Transmission

When you play with a partner, game state messages are transmitted directly between devices. We do not intercept, store, or analyze this gameplay data.
